There is a minimum length limit of 14 inches for the following species: a. Largemouth bass b. Yellow perch c. Walleye d. Northern pike. 4. The 8 fish limit for walleye only applies during the winter Free Fishing Weekend. 5. There are no minimum or maximum length limits for the following species: a. Rainbow trout b. Brown trout c. Lake trout d. Muskellunge. 6. There are no restrictions on the use of trotlines, trotlines with live bait, or trotlines with bait and lures. However, the use of trotlines with weights is prohibited during the winter Free Fishing Weekend.
